F220 Serpentine Lizard

Cody Cheama
Price: $110.00

Description

F220 Lizard fetish by Zuni carver Cody Cheama. The 3” x ½” fetish is carved from serpentine.

A lizard fetish represents relaxation, wisdom and silence, and is a healing/protective fetish for the Zuni.

About the Artist:

Zuni fetish carver Cody Cheama is the son of master carver Wilfred Cheama and Annette Zunie. He obviously is carrying on the family talent. Cody makes excellent use of the natural characteristics of a stone while capturing the intensity the stone itself.

Lizards are one of the Cheama family’s trademarks, and Cody is following the tradition with his unique lizards with the elegant long tail curled across its back.
