R83 Revival Blanket
This 48" x 39.5" wool rug is hand carded and hand woven. The chief blanket is the earliest style of Navajo blankets woven. The Moki Revival Blanket is a chief blanket, predominately indigo blue and red with crosses.
The beautiful red and blue chief blankets with crosses of today are transitional blankets H.B. Hubbell revived. Hubbell revised the original red and brown stripe pattern Moki Pueblo style blankets with crosses to the more saleable red and indigo blue chief blankets with Spider Woman's crosses. They are a favorite of collectors today.
