Ganado rug by Navajo weaver Bessie Blie. The 23” x 34.5” rug is hand woven.

Bessie Blie from Pinon, Arizona was 87 years old in 2019.

Navajo Ganado rugs are probably best known for their bold “Ganado Red” color integrated into the Central Diamond and Four Sacred Mountain design. The geometrical patterns are based on a central diamond or two and have a border design. Because of their long history and universal appeal many consider the Ganado rug the classic Navajo rug.
