R68 Second Phase Rug
Second Phase rug by Navajo weaver Cleo Johnson. The 48” x 72” Moki rug was woven in 1999.
The beautiful red and blue chief blankets with crosses of today are transitional blankets H.B. Hubbell revived. Hubbell revised the original red and brown stripe pattern Moki Pueblo style blankets with crosses to the more saleable red and indigo blue chief blankets with Spider Woman's crosses. They are a favorite of collectors today.
