J1335 Ray Bennet
Traditional silver and gold bolo tie by Navajo silversmith Ray Bennett. The 2 ¾” x 3” Bolo has sterling silver and 14k gold overlay leaf patterns surrounding a ¾” x 1” Kingman water web turquoise cabochon. The bolo is on 40” black hand braided leather. Three and a quarter inch silver and gold tips with gold leaf patterned dangles compliment the bolo.
Raymond Bennett (Navajo) is a listed silversmith in Barton Wright's "Hallmarks of the Southwest". He began using “R. Bennett or Ray Bennett” in 1978. At one time Ray was the resident silversmith for Atkinson’s Trading Company.

Raymond Bennet, Navajo, has been a silversmith since 1994. He lives where he was born and raised, in Gallup, New Mexico.
He learned his craft from his family members, including both his parents and his uncles.
