Beautifully matched Stennich turquoise beads. Each thin elongated bead is hand cut and hand polished. The beads in this 17” choker is are graduated in size.
The Stennich turquoise mine in north central Nevada is next to a gold mine. The Stennich mine yields five or six colors of turquoise, from blue green to lemon-lime green. Soon the green colors will no longer be available because the part of the mine in which this turquoise is located is being “eaten up” by the gold mining operation, which takes precedence over turquoise mining
