Alabaster frog by Zuni fetish carver Michael Laweka. The 2” x 1 1/2” x 1” frog has turquoise eyes along with turquoise and coral round accents.
The Frog is believed to be able to petition the spirits to bring forth abundant rain. In Zuni, New Mexico this is a very important thing because the climate is arid, considered "high desert."
