J2004 Knifewing Pin

Zuni vintage sterling silver Knifewing pin. The 1” x 1 1/4” pin has turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and jet inlay with silver raindrop accents.

Knifewing, also Knife Wing, is a half man – half eagle Zuni spirit or god with razor sharp feathers made of flint. He is the ultimate warrior and represents courage, honor, wisdom and strength.  The Knifewing became one of the first designs that the Zuni inlaid with stones.
