Description

Quintin Quam

Zuni Fetish Carver

Quintin Quam was born on August 11, 1962 to Constance Richards and Daniel Quam at home in Gallup, New Mexico, as there were no hospitals until the 1970s.  He is the fifth of nine children.  He is the only one in his family carrying on the tradition of the exquisite and intricate inlay birds.

The biggest influence in his life were the Edaakies and Haloos, among others.  He enjoys working and spends 15 hours a day cutting, stamping, drilling, doming and inlaying stones. His work is amazingly detailed and precise.  He truly loves what he does.

In his spare time he likes to bike, play softball, basketball and trying to stay healthy.  At this time none of his 3 children are not continuing with jewelry due to lack of patience and other interests.  Quintin is a happy man that likes to bring joy to others with his work.
