Rectangular shape Orvil Jack Turquoise inlay pendant on an 18” sterling silver chain. The green turquoise is 5/8” x 1” and has Sugalite, opal turquoise and spiney oyster inlay in a detailed sterling silver setting. Three sugalite accent stones are at the top of the turquoise pendant. The entire pendant is 7/8” x 1 3/4”.
Orvil Jack discovered and developed the Mine in northern Nevada that bears his name. The mine is in the Crescent Valley in the Blue Ridge area. The yellow-green color of the turquoise comes from the zinc content. Upon Orvil’s death, the mine is run by his daughter. This turquoise is highly prized and collected because of the unique color, and only a small amount is produced today.
